SCAVENGER HUNT

The FIUTS Seattle Challenge is an opportunity for international students to meet new people and explore different neighborhoods in and near the downtown area of Seattle. On Tuesday, September 21, you can join a team with three of your fellow students to explore the city and answer clues that will lead you to must-see attractions! The first 120 finishers will have the opportunity to attend a rooftop party at one of three American Campus properties! All other participants will receive a swag bag if they meet FIUTS staff at the end of the event at the University of Washington light rail station.

The September 2021 Seattle Challenge experience is designed so that everyone can feel safe while having an opportunity to see the city and meeting a few new people. We hope it will help you to feel more at home here this fall while many COVID-19 restrictions are still in place. Here’s how it works:

• You register for this event in advance, as an individual (teams will be assigned day of the event, so arrive at the HUB Patio with a/one friend if you would like to be on the same team and we will try and accommodate you both.
  
  
• Once you register, you’ll receive an email with further instructions
  
  
• You can meet a FIUTS staff member at the end of the Challenge between 4:00-5:00 p.m. outside the University of Washington light rail station (this meet-up is not mandatory, but if you come, we’ll have a tote bag to give you as a prize for participating!)
  
  
• After all teams have completed the Challenge, we’ll calculate the scores and announce the winners!
  
  Remember to wear your mask and comfortable walking shoes, and bring cash or your U-PASS to meet your group on the day of the Challenge.
  
  
• FIUTS Covid-19 Advisory & Community Safety Regulations:
  In alignment with the University of Washington's existing face covering policy and distancing requirements, FIUTS requires all participants to wear a mask for the duration of the event and maintain six feet of distance with others at all times, regardless of their vaccination status. Participants may only remove masks while actively eating or drinking.
